San Diego Sash Company is a family-owned custom window manufacturer,
dedicated to the preservation of historic districts, neighborhoods, and
homes of San Diego. 
Our
business was founded on a strong desire to construct historically accurate
wood window products and make them available in the Southern California
region. Founder, Shawn Woolery prides himself and the company's ability
to reproduce the complex mortise and tenon joinery that has been used for
centuries. By procuring vintage sash machinery, San Diego Sash Company
has the ability to build short to medium runs of casement sash, double
hung replacement sash, and complete window units.
All of our sash or window units are custom made with specific needs of the project in mind. We make our sash using traditional glazing methods - i.e. single glaze and putty. Care is taken to duplicate every sash or window frame exactly. Most of our sash are milled out of clear sugar pine to insure stability and long life. Other species are available upon request. Ogee profiles and moldings can also be matched at an additional fee. Weather stripping is available for new or existing units to help with energy efficiency and overall performance. A variety of glass options are available, such as flat glass, restoration glass, tempered restoration glass, laminated glass (helps deaden sound), and antique glass, when available.
